PoliThe Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command have arrested 150 percengers and seized about 10 luxury buses over alleged violation of interstate travel restrictions by travelling during state curfew hours which forbids interstate non-essential movements.
Lagos State spokes person, Mr. Bala Elkana, told journalist that the vehicle drivers alongside the passengers were arrested while the buses were seized, and the offenders were charged in the Lagos State special offence mobile court.
However, the buses were aprrehended with passenger numbering up to 150 who are trying to move out of Lagos to travel to the Eastern and Northern part of the Country.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, issued a note of warning to motor parks and commercial buses operators against violating of the interstate travel ban during curfew hours, he also warned passengers to desist from making non-essential travels during the curfew hours.
Police arrests 3 suspects for killing Abuja Pharmacist
In another development, the the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced that it has nabbed three suspects in ration to the murder of an Abuja Pharmacist, Sunday Chuckwujekwu Ike, who was the founder of Suncell Pharmacy before his death.
Sunday was reportedly killed on the 19th of June by some murderers who went away with his car and mobile phone after successful taking his life. NewsNaija gathered that Sunday was the Publicity Secretary of the Association of Community Pharmacist before he was gruesomely murdered.
The Abuja Police Sookesman, Ajuguri Manzah, who announced the arrest to newsmen explained that three of the suspected killers of Sunday Chuckwujekwu Ike were arrested by men of the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on the 12th of July, in Jos, Plateau State and in Lafia, Nasarawa State respectively.
He went further to elucidate that two of the assailants identified as Danbala Buba, aged 42 and Isah Rilwanu, aged 24 were apprehended in possession of the deceased Toyota Camry car in Lafia Nasarawa State, while the third suspect identified as Abdulhamid Nasir, aged 35 was arrested in an hideout in Jos, Plateau State in possession of the deceased Huawei phone.
Nevertheless the police boss reiterated that the police are intensifying efforts to ensure the arrest of gang leader who is still in the hiding.
