Oyo records first COVID-19 patient Childbirth

The executive Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde as on Saturday announced that a coronavirus patient at the Oyo State Infectious Disease Centre, Olodo, Ibadan, has been delivered of a baby.
The Governor who disclosed this via his official twitter handle, @seyimakinde, said the mother and baby are in good condition. He went further to explain that two new more COVID-19 deaths have been recorded, summing the number of COVID-19 death in the state to 14.
Makinde in his tweet confirms that the results of a confirmation test recently conducted for 19 suspected cases in the state all came back positive, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Oyo state to 1,451 as at press time.
Akinyele, Ibadan North, and Ibadan South East Local Governments Areas both have three cases each, while Ibadan North West, Lagelu, and Oluyole Local Governments Areas has two cases, a case each was recorded in Oyo East, Ona Ara, Ido, and Egbeda Local Government Areas of the state.
