In the fight against Bokoharam insurgency, 356 Soldier resigns from the Nigeria Army

About 356 soldiers in the Nigeria Army have reportely tendered their resignation letter, reports has it that the soldiers were majorly from the North-East with few others from other theatres of Operations.
The military personnels addressed their resignation letter to Lt General Tukur Buratai Citing loss of interest as their reason for their voluntary retirement from the Nigeria Army on July 3,2020 under the reference NA/COAS/001, quoting Harmonised Terms and Conditions of Service soldiers/rating/airmen (Revised) 2017.

Nevertheless the approval of the voluntary retirement of the 356 soldiers have been approved by the Nigerian Army, it was contained in a 17-page memorandum AHQ DOAA/G1/300/92 signed by Brig Gen T.E Garinga for the Army Chief.
As observed by news source, the larger percentage of the soldiers that applied for the voluntary retirement were from the North-East theatre of of Operations and they have all sighted loss of interest, this development according to a military source was due to poor weapons, loss of morale, unimproved allowances and the continuous loss of soldiers to Boko Haram attacks.

Recall that the onslaughts on military Operations by Bokoharam have intensified with large casualties on the part of troops of the Nigerian Army since the beginning of the year 2020.
The approval document was however copied to the Army Headquarters, Operation Lafia Dole Borno state, Theatre Command, the Headquarters of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 81, and 82 Divisions of the Nigerian Army and other formations.
