IGBO PRESIDENCY: Group lament Ahead of 2023

A political group sponsored by the Equity Movement in Anambra State have in a recent statement declared that it would be an indication that the Igbos are no longer needed in the Nigeria project if the presidency fails to come from the South East in 2023.
This was contained in a statement made by the groups chairman, Chief Gaius Ezeh, after the Groups executive meeting held at Igbo-Ukwu, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra state.
Ezeh lamented that the South East region of the Nation have since a very long time suppressed and marginalized.

According to Ezeh the fact that the Igbo tribe have not been allowed to rule the country is a clear thing that their is a thick gang up against the tribe, he further explained that the gang up has become so obvious to Ndigbo who have now beginning to think they are not wanted in Nigeria.

The Group chairman in his statement further explained that the idea of Biafra is gathering momentum more than ever before and has ganered high popularity among Igbo of all classes at the moment.
However, Ezeh said the reign of equity in the Nation will be better for all the tribe that came together to form Nigeria, he pointed out that it is impossible to boast of Unity in the Nation when some tribes like the Igbo still have reasons to believe they are being cheated and are not needed in the country.

Recall that NewsNaija had earlier reported that the Ndigbo and IPOB had reconcile their difference, where the IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu withdrew his stoning threat against the Ndigbo leadership after the intervention of an elders statesman in the Igbo community.
Nonetheless with this new development political analyst are beginning to sense that the Igbo community are having keen interest in the Presidency title of the Nation come 2023.
