Federal Government fix date for fumigating of Schools, See when

The Federal Government of Nigeria led by Major General Muhammad Buhari Rtd, in preparation for the reopening of School activities, announced on Monday 6th of July announced that fumigating of Schools will kick off as from Tuesday, July 7.
Minister of Environment, Muhammad Mahmood, relate this to new men at the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing held at Abuja on Monday. Mahmood said the Presidential Task Force had earlier met with the Ministry of Education and had listed out the Schools to be fumigated.

Addressing the reason why the the decontamination was delayed until now, the Minister explained that it is more healthy to disinfect the facilities few days before the students will be returning to classes.
He emphasized further that the Chemicals that will be used for the fumigation process, does not stay active for a lengthy period. And that the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 had planned to ensure the Chemicals are still active for few days after reopening of Schools.
Mahmood, however, guaranteed that the decontamination of Schools will begin across the country from Tuesday, 7th of July and will be concluded before the next Monday, as there are enough manpower have been arranged to deliver the job.
The Minister, reassured parents that the Schools after the fumigation process would be safe and that the Students and their Teachers will be resuming to a safe environment.
